Visit here for Inktober 2017 – 1st Week.
Zentangling, for me, is meditation. A time when I practice mindfulness. Drawing an intricate Zentangle design helps us in being fully present in the moment. It may be just for half an hour, or so, but those minutes bring utmost peace to the mind.
Sharing today, ink drawings of this week. I truly enjoyed every moment of it. And, every piece is close to my heart!
Day 8.
I did not follow the prompt here. Just drew this snail… the kind I come across on most of my evening walks.
Day 9.
Prompt: Screech.
Drew my pet parrot, Cookie, in Zentangle. She keeps screeching….when she is hungry, or having a bath, or seeking my attention!
Day 10.
I find fish adorable…especially the smaller ones, that dart playfully at the bottom of the ocean. This one, though, jumped to the surface to give a glimpse of what lies beneath!
Day 11.
I drew this Libra at the behest of my Libran cousin.
Day 12.
Prompt: Run.
The majestic Ostrich galloping at full speed came to mind when I read the prompt.
Day 13.
Prompt: Teeming.
I wanted to draw a beehive teeming with bees, but found it a bit intimidating drawing so many bees! Hence, these few here, playing hide-n-seek by their hive.
Day 14
Prompt: Fierce.
The day I read the prompt list, I decided on some of the drawings I would make for some of the prompts. The roaring lion was decided for the ‘Fierce’ prompt. Making it was tough, what with the detailing and all. But, frankly, I enjoyed every moment of it, and felt contented at the end of it. At the risk of sounding narcissist, I fell in love with my drawing skills! Loved this lion, which came out perfectly! Piece de resistance of Inktober 2017, may I say?
That’s all for this week. See you again next Sunday.
Until then,
Take care!
Love,
SHILPA…
Loved each of the drawings from the week but there was something special about the Lion that I found truly breathtaking! I’ve been meaning to join in for the #inktober challenge but couldn’t. Perhaps, next time. 😊

Gosh Shilpa I love how you have taken insipirations from the animals around you- loved that snail and the parrot – adorbale. The lion is definitely the piece-de-resistance. Very impressive and what dedication to detail it out so finely!
